Episode 6

Ep 6: Finding a Positive Mindset to a Healthier Life

In this week's show, I want to talk about how I lost over 30lbs in 8 weeks, and how a positive mindset helped me to a healthier life, and the impact that can have on your mental health.

I'll be honest - it wasn't easy. There were a lot of things I had to give up, or reduce greatly, while adding things to my diet and lifestyle that I didn't necessarily want to add.

But having changed my mindset, and gone through the 8 week program, I've definitely noticed an impact on my overall health - mental as well as physical.

This is something I'll dive into more on future shows, but today I want to give you an idea of what I went through, and how you can follow some of the steps I took if you want to make a physical change in your life.

Welcome to Mental Health and Me, a safe place for people who suffer from mental illness, who want to learn to cope with it, to control it, and eventually overcome it.

My name is Jaclyn Brown and I am not a therapist. I am a mental health and wellness advocate and my experience comes from over 20 years of battling both depression and anxiety.

I have learned to manage my illness, and I want to help you manage yours as well.
